dc.description.abstractIn this research paper, Taung-thaman Lake soil sample was collected from the place that is situated near Owe-bo village, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region. Water hyacinth fertilizer was prepared with EM (Effective microorganism) solution. EM solution was prepared from wastes of the fruits and vegetables. Taung-thaman Lake soil sample was treated with water hyacinth fertilizer by different ratio. The pH values of soil samples before and after addition of water hyacinth fertilizer were measured by using pH meter. The moisture contents of soil samples before and after addition of water hyacinth fertilizer were determined by Oven method. The elemental contents of soil samples before and after addition of water hyacinth fertilizer were measured by EDXRF. Enzyme activity (glucosidase and protease activity) of soil samples before and after addition of water hyacinth fertilizer were determined by spectrophotometric method.
